Charl’s career started in 2002 after being regionally selected as a branch management trainee for Travis Perkins in the UK. Along with supporting management in sales and operational activities at the building and plumbers merchant, he engaged in completing a Bachelors Degree in Business Management at the University of Exeter.

In addition, he opted to broaden his construction experience by moving his employment to a building company that specialise in renovation and extension projects for residential heritage properties. He remained there for 3 years, working closely with trade teams and management on delivering a range of intricate projects.

After departing the UK in 2006 to pursue a career in project management, he started with Emmaus Developments by engaging in subdivision planning and building construction projects. Soon thereafter, he identified an opportunity for a client side project management provider in Perth, hence launching Emmaus Projects in 2007.

He has initiated, planned and delivered land and building projects for various private and corporate clients. The application of his business & project management knowledge mixed with construction experience, allows for a comprehensive platform on which to base project security and ownership.

Charl is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management and holds an Advanced Diploma in Project Management.
