The construction contractors recently started moving onto the development area to commence with site establishment and earthworks. Credit to the engineering team for continuing to scrutinise and refine the design to give the contract a more feasible outcome. So far the earthwork excavations are coming up fairly clean and we should achieve an even cut to fill across the development site. The sewer trenching is scheduled for early September.

Our landscape projects team is also working closely with the City of Cockburn council to settle on a landscape design that will be aesthetically pleasing and provide a recreational amenity to the young families living in the Estate and Beeliar area. Thus far, the design is accounting for a playground in the public open space, whilst also proposing to plant various olive trees that will be in keeping with the market garden heritage of the area.
